The Clerk’s Office encourages residents to renew their vehicle registrations and allow time for processing.

  1. Electronic payments for vehicle renewals are processed 10 days after being submitted.
  2. Mail payment and renewal notice to the Clerk’s Office
  3. Drop off payment and renewal notice in the mail slot at the back of the building.

The black mail slot is labeled “Town Clerk/Tax Collector” (push on the words)

Jackson Planning Board

The Jackson Planning Board is developing the 2026 Master Plan. This plan will guide the Town’s future over the next ten years. The plan is a living document that the Town’s Select Board and the Planning Board use together to prepare the Town for the future. As part of this process, the Planning Board seeks feedback from Town residents and non-residents on where they see the Town today and what we should strive toward in the future.

This survey will gather feedback on where the Town is doing well, what needs improvement, and your vision for the Town’s future over the next ten years.

As a small thank-you, everyone who completes the survey and shares their email will be entered to win a prize. Local businesses have donated over 35 prizes valued at over $2,500, ranging from dinner gift certificates to tickets to local ski areas.  So please complete the survey and let us know what you think.

 We can only reach winners by email, so you must provide an email address — without one, we have no way to send you a prize. Thank you so much for taking the time to help shape Jackson’s future; it truly means a lot.

Jackson Voter Registration August 31st 6-6:30pm

The Supervisors of the Checklist for the Town of Jackson will hold a session to:

  • process applications for new voter registration
  • process corrections of the checklist

Date: August 31st, 2026

Time: 6:00 – 6:30 p.m.

Location: Town Offices, Meeting Room, 54 Main Street, Jackson, New Hampshire

Voter Registration

Applicants for voter registration who possess proof of identity, age, citizenship, and domicile should bring that proof when they come to register.

Please note that the State Law has changed: Applicants are required to present proof of identity, age, citizenship and domicile. The use of affidavits for identification and age is no longer permitted in New Hampshire per HB1569. See https://www.sos.nh.gov/elections/register-vote for details.

The session may continue past 6:30 p.m. to complete any pending actions pertaining to the checklist.

    1. IDENTITY: driver’s license, government-issued photo ID, passport/passport card. Please note, student identification cards cannot be used to prove identity.

     

    1. AGE: driver’s license, government-issued photo ID, passport/passport card.

     

    1. U.S. CITIZENSHIP: U.S. birth certificate, U.S. passport/passport card, naturalization papers, other proof of citizenship issued by the United States Department of State, or other reasonable documentation which indicates the applicant is a United States citizen. Your citizenship may also be shown with proof that you were previously or are currently registered to vote in New Hampshire. Your citizenship may also be proven by completing a qualified voter affidavit attesting, subject to the penalties for voter fraud, that you are a United States citizen but do not possess some or all of the documents necessary to prove your citizenship.

     

    1. DOMICILE: NH driver’s license, NH non-driver ID, NH resident vehicle registration, federal picture identification, government-issued check, benefit statement, or tax document with the current domicile address listed.

     

    If you do not possess the Domicile (primary residence) documents as detailed above, you may prove your domicile by completing the “Attestation of Not Possessing Qualified Domicile Proof” form AND providing one of the following:

     

    • A rental/lease agreement, utility or other bill with your current domicile, or other qualified document under RSA 654:12; or
    • A completed “Confirmation of Domicile” form, which is signed by the property owner/manager/tenant of the address at which the applicant resides; or
    • A completed “Homeless Confirmation of Domicile” form.

    These forms are available through the town clerk’s office, at the session or from the NH SOS website at: https://www.sos.nh.gov/elections/register-vote
